Kayla holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, combining her hands-on industry experience with a strong foundation in program development, operations, and organizational leadership. She is also currently pursuing a master’s degree in Adult Education and Training, further strengthening her expertise in how adults learn, develop skills, and succeed in career-focused education.
Her professional background includes business ownership as a nail technician as well as leadership roles within cosmetology schools, including Director and Student Services positions. Throughout her career, she has supported students, educators, and school teams across multiple disciplines by strengthening instructional practices, improving program outcomes, and helping learners navigate the path to licensure.
In addition to her school leadership experience, Kayla works as an independent curriculum and accreditation consultant, supporting beauty schools across the country with curriculum development, compliance, accreditation approvals, and educational program design. Her work helps schools meet regulatory expectations while creating engaging, practical, and learner-centered experiences.
As Atarashii’s Director of Learning Experience & Quality Assurance, Kayla supports the development and quality of the learning experience for apprentices, Employer Training Partners, and Learning Leaders. Her work focuses on building strong educational systems, supporting instructor and mentor development, and creating innovative apprenticeship pathways that expand access, elevate professional standards, and help build sustainable careers throughout the beauty industry.
